VICE (or ICE as some call it) is a Video Image Compression Engine found on the SGI O2. It's made up of a 64-bit R4000 derived unit and a 128bit SIMD unit. Both run a 66Mhz.
[edit] Linux support
Experimental patches to binutils and the kernel exists but they are very old (from 2002). A start of a libVICE library also exists.
