i think u would have heard abt the cisco emulator made by christopher fillot. called dynamips.

now he is trying to emulate the switches on cisco 3550 and 3560. since the asics are customs made and the posts test done during installation. it;s become very tuff to find out what hardware checks are been done .

the processor is a powerpc. but because of this post test and customs asics. it;s become almost impossible to emulate them.

is there any way by which we can find abt the hardware through the post checks. or is there is any kind of hardware debugging we can do.
