IO Coherence Unit

The IO Coherence Unit (IOCU) is an optional part of the Coherence_Manager IP from IMG/MIPS. It provides coherent memory ports used by peripherals to maintain L2 cache coherency and thus improve efficiency (by reducing the cache management required by the processor).
