HAL2 contains data path and control logic to interface between HPC3 PBUS and audio devices. It has capability to interface up to five PBUS DMA channels providing real-time DMA streams simultaneously for two stereo audio codecs (Crystal CS4216), a digital audio interface transmitter (Crystal CS8401A), a digital audio interface receiver (Crystal CS8411) and an audio synthetizer (ICS1410).
