Algorithmics used to be a small English consulting company. In 2002 Algorithmics was bought by MIPS Technologies, Inc. and subsequently became MIPS UK. Algorithmics was making a GNU-based toolchain, evaluation boards and consulting services.

Some of the Algorithmics boards are supported by patches which were distributed by Algorithmics but none of these patches made it into the linux-mips.org CVSl.
