In the 1 November Computer Reseller News there is a press release from NEC that confirms the $80 price, and mentions that the price is expected to drop to $50 by mid-1994. I belive that this is the chip that is planned for use in the new Nitendo game box which is supposed to retail for around $200. Toshiba has also announced their R4600 processor, which I believe is a varient of the R4200. Cheers, Gary Lowell Home: glowell@crl.com Work: glowell@thorn.wpd.sgi.com |
