Hi, I recently got a (free) SGI Onyx, and I was interested in running something different on it than IRIX. I wondered if anybody ever attemped to run linux on this beast, and if not, who would like to anticipate in porting linux to it. My Onyx: - quad R4400 100MHz IP19 MIPS (each 1Mb cache) - 256Mb RAM - RealityEngine2 Graphics - 2 Raster Manager units (for those who are interested in pictures of this thing: http://boeventronie.net/images/hardware/sgi/onyx/ ) regards, -- Jorik Jonker http://boeventronie.net/ |
