Actually, in our case, it was slightly better: - we wanted 1TB of disk. - we wanted to be able to dump the full 8GB memory of the O2K to the disk in around 10 seconds. - we wanted to buy everything to SGI (fibre channel raid array, disks, everything). So the SGI dudes were able to choose solutions known to work instead of having to cope with existing hardware :-) OG. |
