Linux for SGI

Hallo,
my name ist Mario I'm a student of computer science from Germany. I
usually used to work with linux, now I have to do my diploma on a SGI/Indigo2
R4400. Because I have all my software under linux, I would like to work
with linux for SGI..

I got the 'GettingStarted software' from the ftp-server, I followed all the intractions and everythings goes fine but starting the vmlinux kernel.

Could you help me to find out what I does wrong ??
