DMA under embedded boards

Hi All,

I'm running Linux over one of our embedded systems (MIPS cpu), I would
like to ask how to register the DMA capabilities of our system
controller that the Linux can use them ?

Is there any function such as register_netdev, but for DMA's ?
(register_dma etc...)

please point me to a documentations.
