Boot loader

Hi!

Our platform is MIPS RM5231(QED).
We want boot loader(linux-kernel is booted from rom) for our platform.
But the boot-rom is 512kB.

What kind of boot loader for me? or 
How can I write boot loader for our platform?

Any kind of answer is appreciate
