nfs with two ports

Hi All

I have two ethernet ports on my embedded ; the first is activated on
bootup and root-nfs is mounted using it ; at run time I activate the
other port using ifconfig by giving it another IP address but the nfs on
the first port goes down.

it prints -

NFS server at 10.2.20.126 not responding, still trying.

is the kernel switching the nfs to the new port ? do you know what is
the problem?
