Subject: DECstation 5000/240
To: K.H.C.vanHouten@research.kpn.com
Hi, I am a researcher in England with a DECstation 5000/240 which I
no longer require. I'm contacting you because I see that you are
involved with porting Linux to DEC computers and thought that it
may be useful, rather than me dispose of it elsewhere (probably in a
rubbish bin of sorts).
The computer has 24Mb RAM, a 1.3 Gb SCSI disk, a tape unit but no
monitor. I must confess that I haven't used it for many months,
but it worked okay when last used.
If there is anyone you know who may be interested in this computer
then they can have it at no charge if they are prepared to collect
it from me. Obviously, this is only really feasible for someone in
England too.
Regards

The box said "Requires Windows 95 or better."
I can't understand why it won't work on my Linux computer.
