Hi, I've been compiling a lot today on the Decstation 5000/25, and I've noticed some strange behavior. For a few hours after I boot the machine, I can telnet in just fine. However, at some point, it starts to refuse logins, and no message is put in either /var/log/messages or in /var/log/secure, as to why the login is refused. I get as far as: Escape character is '^]' Connection closed by foreign host. After rebooting, of course, the problem goes away for several hours. Has anyone else noticed this behavior? Doug |
