For example:
# insmod -p block/rd.o
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol end_that_request_last
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol block_write
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol unregister_blkdev
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol register_blkdev
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol panic
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol end_that_request_first
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol block_fsync
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol blk_dev
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol invalidate_buffers
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol printk
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol blksize_size
block/rd.o: unresolved symbol block_read

(Trying to insert fs/ufs.o gets a much longer list).

This both happens with src/modutils-1.2.121.tar.gz,
and redhat/5.2/SRPMS/modutils-2.1.121-4.src.rpm
from ftp.linux.sgi.com.

Karel.
