The MIPS chip that it seems to be built around is the Vr4111. This
chip isn't supported in the current Linux software.
The hard part is getting Linux loaded.... Or at least a bot loader
that groks how to upgrade the kernel.
I've looked into doing something similar with the palmtop sized
machines. Someone even offered to send me one to do the port, but
that offer seems to have dried up.
