I'm at home an here is the correct line to insert in function
pmax_get_memory_size:

memcpy( (void *)(KSEG0+0x80), except_vec3_generic, 0x80); 

Put that line just bevor the call to 'set_except_vector' and hoipefully 
it will work out better than before!
