Hello!
I may be able to get my hands on an SGI R5000 Indy (blueish case), and
am interested in running Linux on it. I don't know much about MIPS
hardware, but am willing to learn and am quite knowledgeable about i386
HW. (As I write, I am working on Cyrix 6x86 patches for Linux 2.1)
Could you please assist me in finding:
Linux/MIPS kernel sources & necessary program binaries (e.g. sh)
i386/MIPS gcc cross development tools
Hardware documentation (for R5000 and for Indy)
the Linux/MIPS mailing list
Also, how would I boot such a system? I believe it is on an ethernet
with some i386 computers, I would rather not have to use netboot as they
run Windows 95, not Linux.
Thanks very much.
