I am using GCC 2.96 from the CVS at gcc.gnu.org with an additional
patch my myself[1] to build MIPS kernels. Unfortunately GCC 2.96
doesn't work out of the box with MIPS64 so we need some patches here.
I haven't looked at this yet, but I probably will.
The binutils I use is the current CVS version. We should probably
generate some tar files and tell people that these are safe to use for
kernel builds.
